XTAR VC2 Two Bay Charger

The XTAR VC2 is a compact, USB-powered charger for two Li-ion batteries, such as the 18650 cells used in many vape mods. Each bay charges on its own, and the LCD shows the voltage, charging current and capacity for each battery as it charges.

Charging your batteries in a dedicated charger, rather than in the mod, is a good habit: you can keep a spare pair charged and check the condition of each cell. It pairs well with the Fogstar Energy 18650 3000mAh batteries we stock.

Charge a battery from empty and the VC2 shows the capacity it took in mAh. It's an easy way to spot an old or worn cell that no longer holds its charge, so you know when to replace it.

Charge Anywhere

The VC2 runs from any USB power source, so you can charge at home, at work or in the car. The charging current adjusts automatically to the power available, up to 0.5A.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it charge 18650 vape batteries?
Yes. The VC2 is made for 3.6V/3.7V Li-ion cells, including the 18650 batteries used in many vape mods, such as our Fogstar Energy 18650 cells.

Will it charge 21700 batteries?
Yes, as long as they are unprotected (flat-top) cells, which most vape batteries are. XTAR notes the VC2 can't charge protected 20700 or 21700 cells. It also takes 26650 cells and smaller sizes such as 18350 and 14500.

Does it come with a plug?
It comes with a micro USB cable. Plug it into a laptop, power bank or any USB wall plug.

Can it charge AA or AAA batteries?
No. The VC2 is for Li-ion batteries only, not NiMH AA or AAA.

How do I store and carry batteries safely?
Keep spare batteries in a plastic battery case, never loose in a pocket or bag where they can touch keys or coins. Replace any battery with a torn wrap or dent.
