Vaporesso Armour Ultra Kit

The Vaporesso Armour Ultra is a tough, compact direct-to-lung (DTL) kit built around a 5500mAh built-in battery and up to 100W output. It pairs the AXON chip with the iTank T and new GTi Dual Mesh coils, and it's rated IP68 and IP69K against water and dust.

Vaporesso says one charge can last up to 3 days, and that the battery is close to the capacity of two 18650 cells while the device is smaller and lighter than the Armour S.

Big Battery, Compact Body

The 5500mAh battery is built in, so there are no separate cells to buy or charge. With a compatible fast charger it charges at 9V/2A through USB Type-C, or at 5V/3A from a standard charger.

Built to Take Knocks

The Armour Ultra is certified to IP68 and IP69K for water, water jets and dust, and to the MIL-STD-810H standard with a 1.2m drop test. The buttons are sealed and a cover protects the USB port. These ratings apply to the device (the mod), not the tank.

GTi Dual Mesh Coils

The GTi coil now comes in a Dual Mesh version, which Vaporesso says lasts up to 30% longer. The kit includes both:

• GTi 0.2Ω Dual Mesh (60 to 75W), pre-installed
• GTi 0.4Ω Dual Mesh (50 to 60W), in the box

The iTank T also takes the standard GTi Mesh coils, including our Vaporesso GTi Mesh 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω coils. For a spare or bigger glass, we stock the Vaporesso iTank T (black) and the iTank T XL Bulb Glass.

The iTank T fills from the top, and the top airflow ring lets you set the draw from tight to wide open.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which coils fit the Armour Ultra?
The iTank T takes Vaporesso GTi coils, including the new GTi Dual Mesh coils and the standard GTi Mesh coils (0.2Ω and 0.4Ω), which we stock.

Does it need separate batteries?
No. The 5500mAh battery is built in and charges through USB Type-C.

Is the Armour Ultra waterproof?
It's rated IP68 and IP69K, which covers water, water jets and dust. The ratings apply to the device, not the tank, and it isn't designed to be used under water.

Is it suitable for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping?
It's designed for direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping with low-resistance coils (0.2Ω and 0.4Ω). For MTL, a pod kit is usually a better fit.
